Homework.
Dear Parents,
Your child’s math homework will be in this same format each week. This one sheet is math homework for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night. There will be no homework on Friday night. I ask that the homework not be completed in advance, but only one section each night. This way, students are getting practice each night and the problems will be fresh in their mind when it is reviewed the next day.
Throughout the year, the questions you will find on these weekly homework sheets will be a mix of review questions and preview questions. Preview questions are questions relating to a topic that we have not yet discussed in class. These questions are included in the homework to get students thinking about topics to come. Homework is checked each day, but only for completion and effort. It is not graded. If a student does not understand a question, I ask that their best effort is made to answer the question. I go over each nightly homework section the next day in class and will explain the problems thoroughly. If you have any questions or concerns about the homework, please let me know. Thank you for your support!
